Hotel jobs can range from working within the bar, restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping and front of house etc. Each role plays a significant part to the hotel because if done well, customers would return and reputation will build as well as being in the chance of gaining the most important 'stars'. The front of house staff would need to have a smart appearance, being on reception would need to have good telephone manners and clearly spoken voice, have customer service experience and also be able to use the in-house booking systems etc. Again, it is a role in which a lot of people apply for, because of the volume of applications there are, employers would usually prefer candidates with some sort of experience rather than none.

There are also lots of managerial roles within the hotel jobs sector, these include, Duty Managers, Night Shift Managers, Restaurant Managers, Finance Managers, Housekeeping Managers and HR Managers etc, so if an employee enjoys working within this sector and a good at it, there is always room for progression.

Overall, the hotel industry is a very popular job sector which has a variety of different roles available. It is one which many people apply for and there are even educational programmes for people to study if they want to progress in this industry. As long as there are people wanting to go on holidays, there will also be a need for hotels, therefore the jobs within this sector will always be available.
